PEX Repipe
Overview

About this service

PEX is the modern residential repipe material — flexible, corrosion-immune, freeze-tolerant, and much faster to install than copper. In areas of San Diego where hard water and low pH cause pinhole leaks in copper, PEX skips that failure mode entirely.

We install with expansion-style fittings (PEX-A) for the most reliable long-term joint, and can lay out the system as trunk-and-branch or full home-run manifold depending on your fixture count and hot-water recirculation goals.

All PEX we install is UV-protected and code-approved for residential water supply in California.

FAQ

Questions about pex repipe.

For residential water supply, yes — and it's actually superior in hard-water and freezing conditions. Copper still wins on rodent-chew resistance in attic runs.

Not anymore — modern buyers and inspectors treat PEX and copper as equivalents. Some prefer PEX for its freeze resistance.

We use Uponor and Rehau PEX-A on most jobs — the best long-term reliability data of any PEX system.
